The abstracts of the 20th Swiss Conference on Biomaterials and Regenerative Medicine will be published in a special supplement of the European Cells and Materials (ECM) free online journal.
International "Open Access" journal eCM, enables rapid publication of peer-reviewed papers to disseminate scientific knowledge world-wide without profit.
eCM
provides an international and interdisciplinary forum for publication
and discussion for research in the cells and matrices of the connective
tissues of the musculoskeletal system and dental field, and the
materials used in the replacement, repair or regeneration of these
tissues. Cross-disciplinary papers that go across our scope areas are
particularly welcomed.
Manuscripts must have an important biological dimension
reporting effects at the cellular, tissue or organismic levels; clinical
data are acceptable. Papers focussing on material properties, including
descriptions of physical, chemical and mechanical characteristics, will
not be entertained. In vitro cytocompatibilty studies should use
primary cells or more than one cell line and provide more than just
simple descriptions of cell spreading, proliferation etc.
Manuscripts concerning aspects of the repair or
regeneration of connective tissues within the musculoskeletal system or
dental field with tissue engineering approaches of all types will be
considered.
Manuscripts concerning the structure of bone, teeth,
cartilage, intervertebral discs & other related connective tissues
will be considered.
All manuscripts concerning stem cell characterization and
mechanisms of differentiation as they relate to the connective tissues
of the musculoskeletal system or dental field will be considered.
eCM carries
original research papers, reviews and tutorials on the advances made
within the journal scope. All articles are peer-reviewed and reviewer
comments, together with responses by authors, are published as an
integral part of the paper.
