Swiss Conferences on Biomaterials combined with the Annual Meeting of the SSB are organized with focus on specific themes related to biomaterials.

2003: Polymers and Allergies; 2004: Tissue Engineering; 2005: Surface Treatment Technologies; 2006: Absorbables, Degradables, and Resorbables; 2007: Micro- and Nanotechnologies; 2008: Mechanics of Cell & Material Interactions; 2009: no conference due to the organization of the ESB Congress in Lausanne; 2010: Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering; 2011: Applications of Biomaterials in Dental and Musculoskeletal Devices; 2012: Biomaterials in Orthopaedic Surgery: From Bench to Bedside and back; 2013: Polymers and Biomaterials.

Besides the general session, the 2014 program includes a Young Scientist session, a Tissue Engineering session and a special session dedicated to Ion and Molecule Release from Biomaterials. Call for papers: Preference for oral presentations will be given to those devoted to the main topic. Poster contributions to all aspects of biomaterials are welcome.
